Who is The Ol’Prognosticator?

Before the days of satellites and computers, forecasting was done through observation and pattern recognition. Unlike the modern prognosticator that compiles qualities of data and looks for trends, for stocks, business markets or sports. The Old Prognosticators were weather forecasters  when observation was the key factor in forecasting.

Most of the old ways are no longer standard, but a few prognosticators are still known. Punxsutawney Fill, The Woolly Caterpillar, A ring around the moon, Nostradamus; some of the memorable and sometimes celebrated prognosticators and indicators.

This is a road seldom taken anymore, but to those who venture out, often past the zones of modern communication, Re: cellular, there is a need to know what to expect; when you have to read the signs to  forecast the next few hours or the next several days.

Here is where the “The Ol’Prognosticator” lives.

There is a bit of this in all of us, for we have the knowledge of what we have witnessed with the weather, to some it is just knowing that winter is coming soon, to others it is preparing for rain when the skies turn dark, to others it is knowing that tomorrow will be much nicer day.

The Prognosticator studies the weather in all its glory. I am one of the few! Join me!
