Who are Freehand Forecasting and Divining Weather?
Freehand Forecasting: The Freehand Weather Forecasting website was created in the Spring of 2019 as the business and commerce site.
Divining Weather was founded in 2014 as a Facebook page called DiviningWeather.
It became apparent than there was a need to bring Forecasting full circle. Weather forecasting is not to be left to the large forecasting companies alone.
Professional Weather forecasts for such a wide area in some locations that a single forecast did not cover the whole area. Often the predictions were based on computer readouts and showed little to the actual events occurring and about to occur.
We are a growing group of people who understand that reading computer printouts and analyzing weather maps, is not the only and often not the best ways to understand and forecast weather.

I have spent most of my life observing weather and environment. I was able to predict weather as it approached with a good deal of accuracy. I chose to build this picture of people learning the “in the wild” way of forecasting weather. I hope that you enjoy all of the information, practical knowledge and stories of freehand weather forecasting.
